Nelson restaurant abruptly closes due to pushy, rude customers ignoring COVID protocols
A popular restaurant in Nelson, BC suddenly closed down shop on Saturday during one of the busiest weekends of the year.
On April 3, Main Street Diner was open for patio service and take-out when owner Nick Diamond decided he had seen enough of what he considered to be a disregard for COVID-19 protocols.
“At lunch today (Saturday) we had an incredible influx of out of town visitors moving thru my business,” he wrote in a Facebook post.
“Many were pushy, rude (and) not following basic health orders or advisories.
