New policy-focused research examines COVID-19 societal impact Innovative Northwestern research projects funded by recent $1 million Peterson Foundation grant get underway July 22, 2021 | By Matt Golosinski Projects are based on the potential for action-oriented solutions to future pandemics. Northwestern University has announced the recipients of the Peter G. Peterson Foundation Pandemic Response Policy Research Fund, an initiative launched in April to evaluate policies and actions during the current pandemic and to advance effective recommendations for the future.  The effort was made possible by a $1 million grant from the Peterson Foundation, a non-partisan organization that promotes fiscal and economic sustainability and increases public awareness of key fiscal challenges.

The gift is designed to enhance the existing Board Fellows program, facilitate more advanced social impact research and share the program s learnings and expertise with a broader network of leading business schools. The Board Fellows program, to be named the Golub Capital Board Fellows Program, is a 20-month curriculum that prepares 100 top Kellogg MBA students annually for board service at Chicago-area nonprofits through a combination of academic coursework, board placement and strategic consulting.
