The Duchess of Sussex told Oprah how she had felt suicidal at times after joining the Royal Family.
On the morning after it aired in the US, Piers told GMB viewers how he didn’t believe anything Meghan had said.
This led to condemnation from many stars as well as criticism from leading mental health charity Mind.

Piplsay polled 6,036 UK adults between March 13-15 on their response to the row.
Researchers asked: British television personality Piers Morgan quit ITV s Good Morning Britain following a row over his remarks on Meghan Markle s Oprah interview. How do you personally feel about his exit?
Almost half of the respondents (48 percent) said I am neutral/I don t care , with 30 percent selected I am happy with his exit .
Just 22 percent opted for I am unhappy with his exit .
The pollsters then probed Britons on Mr Morgan s condemnation of the Duchess mental health claims.

Piers addressed reporters who waited outside their London home for comment a day after he quit.
Celia said: “The paps weren t there for a spot of al fresco dining, however, but for my husband, who had quit his Good Morning Britain TV show that afternoon after refusing to apologise for ‘not believing’ Meghan Markle s claims in her interview with Oprah Winfrey.
“Just as well he stuck to his guns, given how many of the (verifiable) claims made in her docudrama have since been proved false.

Weatherman Alex Beresford criticised Piers for calling Meghan and Prince Harry’s interview with Oprah Winfrey “diabolical”.
More than 90,000 people signed a petition to remove him from GMB and scores of viewers complained to Ofcom.
In response to the petition, Piers mockingly “thanked” those who wanted to remove him from the show.

On Twitter, he quipped: “Normally, people start petitions to have me fired or deported, so this is a pleasant surprise.
