KVRR Local News Force hire Scott Langer from the Aberdeen Wings July 28, 2021 FARGO, N.D. It didn’t take very long for the Fargo Force to find their new bench boss. Scott Langer takes over just two weeks after  Pierre-Paul Lamoureux left the position to be closer to his family. You might as well call Langer DJ Khaled because all he does is win. His 637 victories in 17 seasons is the most all-time in the NAHL.. In the past five seasons with the Aberdeen Wings, Langer won the division every year and went to two Robertson Cup Finals winning one in 2019.

Fargo Force Head Coach, Associate Head Coach Will Not Return Next Season

(Fargo, ND)  Fresh off a Western Conference Championship season, the Fargo Force will have a new look behind the bench next year. The team announced today that Head Coach Pierre-Paul Lamoureux and Associate Head Coach Chad Demers will not be returning to coach the Force for the 21-22 season. Lamoureux is pursuing many opportunities in and out of hockey, while Demers is taking a position with his alma mater, the Air Force Academy. “Obviously we are disappointed to be losing two great coaches that have done an outstanding job for us” said Force General Manager, Cary Eades. “However, the USHL is a developmental league, not only for players, but for coaches as well. All you have to do is look at the 2-time defending Stanley Cup Champions – the Tampa Bay Lightning – who’s Head Coach Jon Cooper and Assistant Coach Derek Lalonde both coached in the USHL prior to moving on to pro hockey, to see what kind of coaching talent is being developed in this very competitive league.
