A question that I ask you to ponder while reading this article: What the hell is wrong with American politics and society in general? Please do not get me wrong as there is a lot of good done by individual and groups trying to make our society more harmonious. Just keep that question in the back of your minds, though. apologize for having to state it that way, but there really is no other way to put it. I am frustrated because while we are in day number 108 of the year 2021, there have been more than 150 mass shootings in the United States so far this year as per the Gun Violence Archive, and the number of gun deaths of American citizens are on the rise. Not to mention that in the Year of Lord 2020 A.D., the year of months-long lockdowns due to the COVID-19 pandemic, there were nearly 20,000 Americans killed by gun violence, more than any other year in the last two decades, and 24,000 suicides by gun in 2020. Add to those harrowing statistics a nearly 50% increase

U.S.A. -(AmmoLand.com)- The U.S. House Representatives, with the urging and support of Joe Biden, passed two bills on Thursday – H.R. 8 and H.R. 1446 – that would usher in a sweeping overhaul of how firearms are bought and sold in the U.S. Neither would impede criminals, who overwhelmingly obtain their firearms outside normal channels of lawful commerce. But together they would transform the constitutionally protected right to obtain firearms into a privilege administered at the whim of anti-gun bureaucrats.
Republican Lawmakers Seethe Over New Gun Control Laws, Call It A ‘Radical Agenda’

Republican lawmakers are vowing to fight new bills passed by the Democratic-led House that tackle gun control measures, calling the moves an infringement of rights and a “radical agenda” after the pair of measures passed.
The two measures both work to expand the background check period for those who want to purchase a gun. According to Reuters, the first measure, which did receive support from eight Republicans, allowing the bill to pass 227-203, closes a loophole in gun laws that expands background checks when guns are purchased over the internet, at gun shows and through certain private transactions.
