Kameek Salinsky was a teen when he pegged the victim on April 8, 2019, said authorities.
The victim was departing a bus on Castleton Avenue in West Brighton, prosecutors said.
The near-deadly episode occurred around 8:25 p.m. between Taylor and Dongan streets.
After the victim was hit, Salinsky shot at him as he lay on the ground, said prosecutors.

The defendants carried out the scheme between January 2012 and September 2015, an indictment said.
The couple was living on the 100 block of Sandalwood Drive then, said a criminal complaint.
They resided in New Springville when arrested in March 2019, police said.
The complaint said Musleh submitted documents containing false information to obtain Medicaid and Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits.
SNAP benefits were previously known as food stamps.
Musleh failed to report Shihadeh’s income and financial resources to secure the benefits, said the complaint.
Once convicted of manslaughter, he cops plea in ATM theft

Almando Pumarejo, 58, has pleaded guilty to third-degree grand larceny to resolve his case.
Pumarejo, and a co-defendant, Frank Perez, also 58, broke the lock on a grocery store at 226 Van Duzer St. at about 2:30 a.m. on April 10, a criminal complaint said.
The defendants, who live nearby, returned about a half-hour later, said the complaint.
They entered and removed an ATM, the complaint said.
The duo was nabbed shortly thereafter.
The heist was the second in six months which Perez pulled, allege prosecutors.
On Oct. 19, 2019, he burglarized Clean Rite laundromat at 1106 Bay St. in Rosebank and also stole an ATM, the complaint said.
