BINGA: A 72-year old man died after he was allegedly savagely attacked by a neighbour at the height of a dispute over a jersey.
John Mudenda lent his jersey to his alleged would-be killer, Robson Muleya (63), during an all night beer drinking binge in their Kamalumba village.
He then later sked for his jersey back, but instead of returning it, Muleya allegedly teamed up with a friend, Mutunywa Siziba and took turns to assault their elderly fellow patron.

BINGA: A 40-year-old woman here died from an asthma attack just moments after giving birth as there was no ambulance available to pick her from rural Simatelele Clinic to the hospital.
The deceased’s husband Elias Munkuli told police last week his wife, Malvenia had a history of experiencing frequent asthmas attack and would regularly visit health care facilities seeking medical help with breathing difficulties.
The couple lived in Chileya village in Simatelele along the Zambezi River.
However, last Monday, Malvenia was rushed to the clinic after experiencing labour pains before she started having difficulties in breathing soon after giving birth to a healthy baby boy.

Binga: An unidentified fisherman reportedly drowned after a hippopotamus attacked a boat he and a colleague were sailing in along Zambezi River in Binga recently.
Police are appealing to the public to help identify the man whose only known name is Samora with no further details.
Samora, of medium build and believed to be in his 30s, was in the company of Nothando Mwinde (25) when their boat capsized after being hit by a hippo as they sailed into Kariba Dam in Siabuwa.
Mwinde managed to swim to the shore while Samora drowned, police said in a statement.
