The extractive industries bring jobs and tax revenues to a nation that has been hobbled by invasion, war and insurgency for close to two decades. Yet this economic activity comes at a cost.
Oil spills, pollution and declining air quality have taken a significant toll on the environment, and on the health of many Iraqis. On top of this, greenhouse gas emissions from the oil industry continue to contribute to global warming while some areas of Iraq are expected to become uninhabitable in the coming decades.
Yet assessing the true scale of the issue and exactly how pollution happens in Iraq is a demanding task. PCR test requirement update

With effect from 30 December 2020, all international passengers arriving Turkey via air travel will have to present a negative PCR test result conducted within the last 72 hours. This procedure will be effective until 1 March 2021 and applies to all transfers and transits and passengers from 6 years old. Passengers who do not submit a negative PCR test result will not admitted to the flight.

Increase of port costs

The Federal Authorities Rosmorport have announced that, as of 1 January 2020, the following port costs will be increased:
Novorossiysk port (tankers):
2. Pilotage dues – 0.15 per mile (up from 0.14)
3. Launch hire for the pilot at Novorossiysk – RUR 12,400 per one trip (up from 12,000)
4. Launch hire for the pilot at CPC terminal – RUR 25,800 per trip (up from 25,000)
