Thomaston Grammar students recognized for responsibility, positive attitude Fri, 04/09/2021 - 4:15pm Trevor Farrington – Grade 4 Norah Smith – Kindergarten Caleb Stinson – Grade 1 THOMASTON Several students at Thomaston Grammar School were recognized for responsibly and having a positive attitude at a school-wide Zoom assembly on April 8. Students receiving the Responsibility Award were: Joy Chen, Vivian Holom, Caleb Stinson, Jaxon Hopkins, Harlow Peterson-Crute, Oliver Hedstrom, Nora Simms, Steven Marriner, Meredith Lewis, Lynell Gendron, Natalie Jordan, Maya Catapano-Kangas, Shawn King, and Amelia Stewart. Students receiving the Positive Attitude Award were: Evelyn Fish, Norah Smith, Jordyn McDonald, Alden Wakem, Mya Rodriquez, Mylee Anderson, Olive Grierson, Austin Haskell, Isabella O’Clair, Trevor Farrington, Leah McLellan, Eva O’Hare, Owen Simmons, Vivian Holom, and Sophia Davis. ....

Jordan/The Moultrie Observer MOULTRIE, Ga. â The Colquitt County 4-H and FFA Cow Show took place Tuesday, March 9, at the County Agricultural Complex. The event was open for anybody in grades 4 through 12. The show was separated into two events: The Dairy Showmanship and the Steer and Heifer Showmanship. Along with the shows, a community donated auction was carried out during the event. A livestock auction followed the shows. The dairy show was carried out first. ....

Jordan/The Moultrie Observer MOULTRIE, Ga. â Colquitt County students from third to 12th grades showcased their best hogs Tuesday, March 2, in the Colquitt County 4-H and FFA Hog Show at the county agricultural complex. The students competed in heats organized by grade level. Mason Bass and Carolyne Turner took home the top prizes of the Grand Champion Market Barrow and the Grand Champion Market Gilt, respectively. Each received a prize of $1,500 for their top place victory. ....
