Two registered nurses at the North Bay Regional Health Centre (NBRHC) have been recognized with a leadership award.
Donna Dumond and Paula Doncaster learned Thursday they had been named the 2021 honourees for the annual Leslie Burt-Manary RN Leadership Award.

A statement from the hospital said this year, an anonymous donor stepped forward to fund a second grant, allowing Dumond and Doncaster from inpatient surgery to both be honoured.
“Celebrating Nurses Week is once again very different this year. What has not changed is the celebration of nurses in what they do best – sharing their knowledge, skills and caring for their patients in these extraordinary times,” said Tiziana Silveri, executive vice-president and chief nursing executive at the NBRHC.
