Should you still call yourself Mrs after divorce?
OPINION: Is it entitled to give yourself a title? On a women s discussion group on social media this week a woman asked the question: “If I m divorced is it OK to call myself Mrs?” So many responses. So many differing ideas about titles and handles and who gets what and when, whoever breaks up from whoever. I romped in, in a non-typical display of public nudity with: “You should do whatever makes you comfortable. I, for one, don t like titles. I m simply Polly Gillespie. I had no idea that so many women felt so strongly about the whole Miss, Ms, Mrs thing. I don t get it. Never have, never will, but I’m totally cool with calling yourself whatever floats your pool inflatable. I just can t own a title, or give anyone else one. We are Kiwis. A Jack is as good as his master. We travelled what must have seemed like lifetimes to escape classes and titles. I m not in to it. I m a Jack and master which quite possibly makes me
