A MAN from Dalton in Furness has been sentenced to seven years and six months in prison at Preston Crown Court for kidnap, rape, and sexual assault by penetration. Howard Rowley, aged 24, of Devoke Water Gardens, Dalton was found guilty on all three counts of kidnap, rape and assault by penetration on Friday June 4, 2021 following a four day trial at Preston Nightingale court. Rowley will also be required to sign on to the sexual offenders register. The female victim cannot be named as she has a lifetime legal right to anonymity. The offences relate to an incident that took place in the early hours of March 18, 2018 between Barrow in Furness and Dalton in Furness.

A man from Dalton-in-Furness has been sentenced to seven-and-a-half years in prison for kidnap, rape, and sexual assault by penetration.
Howard Rowley, 24, of Devoke Water Gardens, Dalton was found guilty on all three counts of kidnap, rape and assault by penetration following a four-day trial at Preston Nightingale court, which is at the Preston North End Stadium, last week.
Rowley will also be required to sign on to the sexual offenders register.
The offences relate to an incident that took place in the early hours of March 18 between Barrow in Furness and Dalton in Furness.
