Tigers Top Wolves in Tuesday Softball Tilt

ROCK SPRINGS What began as a close ball game in the opening frame turned into a blowout after the second inning as the Rock Springs Tigers defeated the Green River Wolves in high school softball action last night. Green River took a 4-3 lead after the top of the second inning, but an 8-run outburst by the Tigers in the bottom of that inning lead to a 14-4 victory for the home team. This is the second time in a month that Rock Springs has earned a decisive win over their Sweetwater County rivals. The Tigers defeated the Wolves 14-3 on March 30 at the Paul J. Wataha sport complex.

Tigers Place Eighth at 4A State Swimming and Diving

LARAMIE The Rock Springs Tigers joined up with the other 4A swimming and diving teams this week to compete in the 2021 4A State Swimming and Diving Championships. The team saw two top five finishes. John Spicer ripped through the pool in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing in fifth place with a time of 49.43. The Tigers relay team blazed into fourth place in the 200-yard freestyle relay. John Spicer, Dailen Pederson, Erral Asper and Gunner Seiloff clocked in at 1:33.69. Rock Springs took eighth place out of the 11 teams in the meet, scoring 68 points as a team. They finished ahead of Cheyenne East, Campbell County and Natrona County.

Wrestlers Take to the Mats for Thoman-Jackman Duals

SWEETWATER COUNTY Wrestlers from Rock Springs High School and Green River High School hit the mats Friday afternoon in the first day of the annual Thoman-Jackman Dual Meet Invitational. Twenty schools from around the state are participating in the tournament, which will crown a winner this weekend. Below are photos and links for results to each team.
