Some Bartlesville Public Schools Teachers Now Teleteaching

Some Bartlesville Public Schools Teachers Now Teleteaching Bartlesville Public Schools is giving some of its teachers the chance to teach from home while their kids are in the classroom. The district said they just started the teleteaching method this semester. Alex Rivera is teaching one of his music classes from home while a substitute teacher proctors his classroom at Bartlesville High School. Rivera’s wife and one of his children are immunocompromised; so while he misses the physical classroom, he believes this is best for his family. “I have to put that away, put that teacher guilt away and remind myself ‘it’s a pandemic, it’s a pandemic. It’s a global health crisis that people are not treating as a global health crisis,” Rivera said.

The Lady Bruins dropped to 0-3 with a 41-39 loss to 5A Shawnee in the first game of the day. BHS had a three-pointer that would have won it go in-and-out just before the buzzer. On the guy’s side, Bartlesville built two double-digit leads, but could not ever put the host-club Bishop Kelley away. Bartlesville lost in the end, 67-62. It was the freshman David Castillo early on that helped the Bruins get ahead.
