Over 2,000 receive first dose in Parker County vaccinations; 83 now fully vaccinated

Jan 8, 2021 As of Thursday, Parker County had 2,014 in phases 1A and 1B who had received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and 83 who have now been fully vaccinated. âCurrently, medical personnel, first responders, people over the age of 65 and those with certain chronic medical conditions that put them at increased risk of severe COVID-19 disease are being vaccinated,â Parker County Health Authority Dr. Steven Welch said. âSpecifically, as directed by Texas DSHS, we are vaccinating [Phase] 1A and 1B groups at this time.â According to the dashboard on the Texas Department of State Health Services website, in Palo Pinto County, 228 people had been given the first dose of the vaccine with two people fully vaccinated as of Thursday.Â

State publishes first schedule for vaccinations; Parker, Palo Pinto counties not yet included

Dec 11, 2020 The Texas Department of State Health Services has published âWeek 1â of its COVID-19 vaccine allocations, but as of that date, Parker and Palo Pinto counties have not made the list.Â The first weekâs allocation is 224,250 doses of the Pfizer vaccine to be shipped to 109 hospitals in 34 counties as early as the week of Dec. 14, depending on when the vaccine is authorized for use in the United States, according to the Department of State Health Services. The distribution of the vaccine in Texas is being determined by the COVID-19 Expert Vaccine Allocation Panel. The allocations should be updated moving forward, Parker County Health Authority Dr. Steven Welch said, adding that there is still no firm date as to when âWeek 1â is.Â
