If you ve found yourself working long hours during the pandemic, you aren’t alone. Although the initial shift to working from home led many people to imagine a life of lie-ins and longer lunch breaks, over the course of the last year the reality has become very different: one study found that employees in the UK are working an extra two hours a day.
Jonathan Frostick knows this better than anyone. The HSBC manager recently suffered a heart attack and, while recovering in hospital, decided to post on LinkedIn vowing to work less after racking up long hours in lockdown, which has since been viewed more than eight million times.
