Fifteen people were plucked from the water while Tiki Tubing. This isn’t an isolated incident. Another 15 were rescued on July 17, and two people have drowned this summer. Now, these are calls for stricter enforcement. Livingston Parish President Layton Ricks plans to propose an ordinance that would address safety concerns to the parish council at the next meeting on August 12.

He made the decision after Parish President Layton Ricks called Tuesday to say he would not lift the cease-and-desist order on the business. King met with the parish council last week to discuss the order, which came from Ricks office after numerous neighbors filed complaints. Residents who lived near the paintball center complained about the noise, crowded driveways and developments they believed may have violated parish ordinances.

He added the victim was headed east on Buddy Ellis when it is believed he was hit.
