A year into pandemic, MSU Extension’s health and nutrition virtual programming thrives

From food safety to farm stress, MSU Extension’s dedicated educators and instructors found innovative ways to learn, teach and connect even in the most challenging of times.

Like so many others at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Michigan State University Extension community nutrition instructor Ali Rogers’ professional world was flipped upside down. Almost her entire job before the pandemic consisted of delivering nutrition and physical activity education to people face to face.
<p>Learn what the best practices for food safety are in order for you to keep the children in your care safe. Food safety education topics discussed in the class include proper cleaning and sanitizing, cooking, storing food, as well as personal hygiene and more. This class will count toward your annual training hours for childcare providers. Safe Food=Healthy Kids is an approved training of Great Start to Quality. Class will be facilitated by experienced MSU Extension food safety educators.<br /><br />Classes will also be offered on the following dates:</p>

Join us online via Zoom using your laptop, tablet, smartphone, or any device with internet access.
