Vermont Technical College moves to remove tenants July 16, 2021 GMT NORWICH, Vermont (AP) Vermont Technical College has moved to pursue legal options to remove the operators of Norwich Farm Creamery, which has stayed on past their lease. The college’s president Patricia Moulton said Thursday that efforts are underway to remove the tenants, Valley News reported. “We are pursuing the legal measures that we have available to us to ensure that our tenant moves on,” Moulton said. She declined to specify what those measures would include. Moulton said that the institution is also in negotiations with the Norwich Farm Foundation which supports and raises funds for the creamery to sell the 6-acre farm parcel and its home, barn and other buildings. The main building and a smaller home were listed last summer.

With Chancellor Zdatny and Chair Dickinson today were: Marilyn Cargill, VSAC Vice President of Financial Aid Services, Marketing, and Research; Jonathan Spiro, Interim President of Castleton University; Joyce Judy, President of the Community College of Vermont; Elaine Collins, President of Northern Vermont University; and Patricia Moulton, President of Vermont Technical College.                               

This new partnership with Vermont Tech will benefit GLOBALFOUNDRIES employees

GLOBALFOUNDRIES (GF) and Vermont Technical College (Vermont Tech) recently announced a new partnership which will financially assist employees of the manufacturing company who either want to attend the college or already have. GF employees will be able to enroll in Vermont Tech’s undergraduate, graduate, or certificate programs at discounted tuition rates. Additionally, Vermont Tech alumni who work at GF will be able to benefit retroactively through a tuition reimbursement program. While the manufacturer gets to have its staff members further their education for a discounted price, the college also gets to benefit by having seasoned professionals join the campus and learning community – broadening the experience for current students.
