Evans Harvill, APSU supporter, philanthropist, lawyer dies at 95

View Comments Evans Harvill, who for decades promoted Austin Peay State University as one of its most trusted ambassadors and advisors, died on Monday. He was 95.  He was the kind of man that every girl wants as a father, and every woman wants as a husband, said Denise Greenwood, Harvill s stepdaughter.  Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home is handling funeral arrangements. The loss of Evans Harvill is truly a sad one for our Governor family, APSU President Michael Licari said in a statement. Judge Ayers of Clarksville appointed to Court of Criminal Appeals by Gov Lee

Clarksville NowJudge Ayers named to state s Court of Criminal Appeals. CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Judge Jill B. Ayers, who has served as a Circuit Court judge since 2015 for the 19th Judicial District that covers Montgomery and Robertson Counties, has been appointed to the Middle District Court of Criminal Appeals by Gov. Bill Lee. “I am proud to announce the appointment of these highly qualified individuals, and I value the experience they will bring to their respective judicial districts,” Lee said. “I’m confident they will serve Tennessee with integrity.” The process In October, Ayers applied to fill the vacancy, which was created by the retirement of Judge Thomas T. Woodall, who has served the court’s Middle Section judicial jurisdiction since 1996.
