HAMPTON – The Cascade Waterslide Park at Hampton Beach is closing for good after more than 35 years.
Maureen Ayles, office manager of Hampton Beach Casino, Inc., confirmed Wednesday the waterslide park on D Street is slated to be taken down this week. The property is owned by Sal Lupoli, who is also the majority owner of the Hampton Beach Casino building.
Ayles referred further comment about future plans for the site to Lupoli’s spokesman Phil McCabe, who did not immediately return phone calls.
The park, which featured three “gigantic” slides and a splashing pool, was closed during the summer of 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The park was constructed in 1985 and was dubbed the “biggest waterslide at Hampton Beach.”
