Here’s where Jacksonville could allocate budget funds in FY 21-22

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – On Tuesday, the City of Jacksonville laid out a wish list of sorts for new projects that could be included in the budget this fall.
The list is extensive and calls for changes and improvements to public facilities, roads and infrastructure as well as parks. It includes price tags for fiscal year 2021-2022 and beyond the next five years or so.
When it comes to fire stations, the list the list includes $7.7 million for a new fire station, Fire Station #47, and $8 million for the replacement of Met Park Marina Fire Station and Museum in FY 2021-22.

The Downtown Development Review Board voted 7-0 on June 10 to grant conceptual design approval for the 91-unit community on 3.45 acres next to Lift Ev’ry Voice and Sing Park.
The three-story town houses are a joint project of JWB Real Estate Capital LLC and Corner Lot Development Group.
Johnson Commons finished second to Vestcor Companies Inc. in a 2019 Downtown Investment Authority request for proposals to develop the city-owned site, bounded by Adams, Lee, Houston and Forsyth streets.

June 3, 2021 – Jacksonville, Fla. – The Jacksonville Jaguars, together with their affiliated real estate development entity of Iguana Investments, today announced their development plans for Downtown Jacksonville including The Jacksonville Shipyards, a multi-faceted project that will feature a Four Seasons Hotel and Residences, a Class A office building, an orthopedic sports medicine complex and improvements to the city-owned marina and public spaces.
Also included in today s presentation were details about the vision for a football performance center, which will be the first step in creating the Stadium of the Future for Jaguars fans, and community investment plans to support Downtown and its surrounding neighborhoods.
