Chinese embassy also partnering with BFN on agriculture initiative
NASSAU, BAHAMAS At a recent ceremony at its temporary Fox Hill Community Centre facility, executives of the Bahamas Feeding Network (BFN) thanked Chinese Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China Dai Qingli and the Zonta Club of Nassau for generous food donations that will collectively assist nearly 300 families.

BFN executive director dubs historic food delivery “most amazing gift ever; unbelievable”
NASSAU, BAHAMAS Three years after Royal Caribbean International’s president and CEO first saw the impact of a feeding program operating out of a crowded cottage in Nassau and vowed to lend support, the cruise line this week delivered its most generous gift yet nearly $1.5 million of food weighing 675,000 pounds, enough to provide over two million meals.

NASSAU, BAHAMAS Through a partnership between Rotary Old Fort and Super Value, along with a monetary donation from the Bahamas Feeding Network (BFN), Hands for Hunger (H4H) received food vouchers for distribution to 100 families during a recent presentation at Super Value’s Head Office.

Three weeks ago, when Philip Smith learned the Bahamas Feeding Network (BFN) would be tasked with feeding thousands more, which now included 17 Family Islands and one-third of New Providence, he was very pleased to learn of Aliv’s donation.
“This will go a long way in helping us accumulate 15 percent of the funding required as a zone leader of the National Food Distribution Task Force, while the government is investing 85 percent,” he said. “Aliv’s donation is a testament to the fact that as we give in the way that we should, God shall supply all our needs.”

ELEUTHERA, BAHAMAS Disney Cruise Line joined local community leaders to help spread magic this holiday season by funding thousands of meals for families in South and Central Eleuthera, New Providence and Abaco.
On Eleuthera, Disney Cruise Line contributed $25,000 to the South and Central Eleuthera Community Christmas Dinner-in-a-Bag outreach program, which went toward the assembly of 2,800 dinner bags for families in need throughout settlements in South and Central Eleuthera over the holiday week.
