Design drafts released for The Riverline, a proposed nature trail and greenway in Buffalo

BUFFALO, N.Y. (WKBW) â The Western New York Land Conservancy and its design partners W Architecture, Hood Design Studio, and Green Shield Ecology will present the first draft of the design concept for The Riverline at a public event that will be livestreamed through YouTube at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday.
The Riverline is a proposed nature trail and greenway along an unused rail corridor that runs from Canalside at the DL&W Terminal in downtown Buffalo to the Buffalo River across from Riverbend and Tesla. Officials say the first draft of the design concept are based off four years of engagement and community feedback from February s initial concept designs.

BUFFALO, N.Y. Erie County is getting more doses of the COVID-19 vaccine. Erie County Executive Mark Poloncarz says the county is receiving 7,280 doses from New York State this week. He also revealed a third point of distribution (POD) clinic somewhere in Buffalo is in the works and hopes it will be up and running by next week.
2021 Shamrock Run Details Set
The tradition continues!
Things will look a little different this year for the 43rd annual Shamrock Run in Buffalo to benefit the Old First Ward Community Center, but if you run the race every single year, you can keep your tradition alive!
This year there will be two different options for you to participate in the race during the COVID-19 pandemic.
1.) Do it virtually. The price is 40 dollars.
2.) Do it in person. The price is 75 dollars.
Now, the catch is that only 150 people will be able to be participate in the in-person run. How will these people be chosen? At random if you sign up for the waiting list.
