Perak state budget unanimously approved at assembly

The budget was presented by Mentri Besar Datuk Saarani Mohamad ( pic). From the RM1.2bil budget, RM430mil has been allocated for expenditure development and RM785.1mil for management costs. In his winding-up speech, Saarani said the budget had been planned after taking into account the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic. “The projects and programmes planned for next year will emphasise economic recovery, as well as a focus on reducing the impact faced by various sectors and groups, ” he said. Saarani added that the state government would also develop a long term plan to revive the post-Covid-19 economy. He said a 10-year plan (2021-2030) would emphasise sustainability and inclusive development to revive the economy.
