Looking for a sweet snack that supports a great cause?
The Grand Valley Lions Club has you covered with their Krispy Kreme donut fundraiser, slated for June 10.
A dozen costs $10 and all the proceeds raised through the donut sale will go towards supporting Grand Valley Minor Hockey and Grand Valley Air cadets.
All orders must be prepaid by June 6, which can be done by e-transferring Randy of the Lions Club at randymcc@rogers.com with your name and phone number. For information, contact Randy at 519-943-5471.
Pick up is at the Door, 23 Mill Street West, Grand Valley from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. on June 10.
In May s general election, one of the races voters will be making their voices heard on is who will be four members of the city council for Amarillo for the next term.
The new members of the city council will join the person elected to be Amarillo s mayor, a race which is also on May s election ballot. A preview for that specific race ran previously in print and is available on the Amarillo Globe-News website.
