Groundbreaking ceremony scheduled for the Marion County Food Bank MARION –The Marion County Food Bank is honored to announce the groundbreaking ceremony for their new food resource center. The event will take place at 10 am on Friday, May 21 at 906 E. Main St in Marion. The public is invited to attend. In 2015 Marion Advancement Campaign (MAC) took the Marion County Food Bank under its 501(c)(3) umbrella. The food bank then moved from the Valley United Methodist Church to the current location, an old filling station owned by MAC. That first year, they served 893 households. Fast forward to 2020, the food bank served a total of 2,541 households.

Mary A. Myers Eberlin, 88, of Muncy Valley, passed away at home on Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021. Born Aug. 30, 1932 to Stanley and Tressie Myers in her childhood home, she has been a lifelong resident of Muncy Valley. She leaves behind her loving husband Robert Eberlin with whom she recently celebrated 70 years of marriage on April, 2, 2019. Also surviving are a daughter Jean E Duck of Salem, Ohio; a brother, Chester “Chet” (Irene) Myers of Muncy Valley; a sister, Kathy (Tom) Robbins of Muncy Valley; a grandson, Jason Duck of Salem, Ohio; two granddaughters, Heather (Brian) Waselich of McDonald, Ohio, and Jenna (Jose) Rovira of Ocala, Fla.; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
