Stop & Shop helps families in need in Swampscott & Marblehead

Stop & Shop helps families in need in Swampscott & Marblehead Wicked Local  Swampscott Stop & Shop got into the holiday spirit this year making two sizable donations to food pantries in Marblehead and Swampscott. The Paradise Road grocery store reached out to help families in need by donating to the Anchor Food Pantry and the Marblehead Food Pantry.  The Anchor Food Pantry, located in Swampscott, received $2,000 to purchase products and gift cards to support its Winter Gift Bag distribution, while the Marblehead Food Pantry received $500 in gift cards. Of the $2,500 donated, $500 was contributed by store associates. “I am proud of my team for helping to give back as we see more people in our community facing food insecurity as a result of the pandemic, said Andrew Ziner, Swampscott Stop & Shop store manager. Local food pantries play such a critical role in feeding those in need and we’re happy to lend support especially during the holiday season.”
