CDC's New COVID-19 Guidelines For Allergic People; Here Are the Recommendations You Need

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released new guidance to help minimize the COVID-19 vaccine s side effects on those people who will take it and have allergies. 
The new guidelines were issued after the agency found out that some people experienced anaphylaxis, a severe allergic reaction after they took the COVID-19 vaccine jab. 
According to Independent UK s latest report, the new recommendations state that those who are suffering from severe allergic reactions should not take the second jab. 
CDC said that you are considered having a severe allergic reaction if you need to be treated with EpiPen or epinephrine. If you are also advised to go to the hospital, that means you are experiencing anaphylaxis.  ....

Kentucky Doctor Receives COVID-19 Vaccine Just as She Loses Her 27th Patient
Dr. Valerie Briones-Pryor was one of the first people to receive the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine when shipments started arriving in Louisville, Kentucky earlier this week. Like many of her colleagues, she was excited to get the injection, but the moment quickly turned “bittersweet.”
As soon as she received the drug, she learned that she had lost her 27th patient to the coronavirus. According to the state’s public health website, more than 2,000 Kentuckians have already died from COVID-19, and more are added to the list every day.
Dr. Briones-Pryor is using this experience to urge her fellow residents to take the pandemic seriously, even as the vaccine is being distributed.   ....

The News Journal » COVID-19 vaccine arrives at Baptist Health Corbin


Officials at Baptist Health Corbin announced Tuesday that the Pfizer COVID–19 vaccine  has arrived on site.
The hospital was one of 11 across Kentucky that Gov. Andy Beshear announced would be recipients of the initial shipment as part of the effort to immunize frontline healthcare workers.
The shipment contained 975 doses of the vaccine, which will be offered to the employees, with vaccinations to begin today “No one will be forced to take it,” said Debbie Hardin, Marketing Director at the hospital.
With 1,174 employees at the hospital, Hardin said frontline workers will have priority for the vaccine.
“We know the vaccine is vitally important to getting back to normal, and we are thankful to be a part of this effort to eradicate COVID-19,” said Anthony Powers, President of Baptist Health Corbin. “We stand ready to play a key role in this crucial initiative as we begin vaccinating our front-line health workers and our community  as more supplies of v ....
