UB is ranked No. 19 in Forbes’ America’s Best Large Employers 2021, an annual ranking of the most-liked companies by U.S. employees.
UB was the sixth-highest ranked university on the list, and the top-ranked large employer in New York State.
Other institutes of higher learning ranked among the top 25 in Forbes list include The University of Alabama, Birmingham (No. 1), Yale University (No. 5), University of Maryland, Baltimore (No. 13), University of Arizona (No. 16), University of Michigan (No. 17), Duke University (No. 23) and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (No. 24).
The largest university in SUNY, UB employs roughly 6,000 faculty and staff across three campuses.
