She came to NCTC after serving as chief academic officer of Hazard Community and Technical College in Kentucky. New NCTC president, Kiddoo, officially on the job Times Report Just in time for fall semester, a new President is at the helm of Northland Community & Technical College. Sandra Kiddoo is ready to hit the ground running as the fourth President of Northland since the East Grand Forks and Thief River Falls campuses merged in 2003. Kiddoo was named to the position on April 21, 2021, by the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities Board of Trustees and was chosen from three finalists after a six-month-long nationwide presidential search. Devinder Malhotra, chancellor of Minnesota State, shared his confidence in Kiddoo’s ability to lead Northland for the future. “She has a strong track record of exploring new initiatives to provide the services and programs students and industry need for today and tomorrow. I am confident that Northland Community and Technical College will thrive under her leadership.”

Board of Regents honors WCSU professors Aloni and Cordeira Written by WCSU Next Western Connecticut State University faculty members Dr. Maya Aloni and Dr. Joshua Cordeira have received recognition from the Connecticut State Colleges and Universities Board of Regents as the WCSU recipients of the board’s 2021 teaching and research awards. Aloni, an associate professor of Psychology and director of the Relationship Research Lab, has earned the top BOR Teaching Award honoring the faculty member at the CSCU system’s four state universities who best exemplifies excellence in teaching. Cordeira, an associate professor of Biological and Environmental Sciences and director of the Neuroscience Research Lab, has been selected to receive the campus-based BOR Research Award given annually to the WCSU faculty member who demonstrates superior quality in research.
