Growing Nutrition for Mothers and Children (GROW) Project in Ethiopia - End Line Household Survey Report Format 1. Background to the GROW Project CARE International has been implementing a project entitled “Growing Nutrition for Mothers and Children (GROW)” in East and West Hararghe Zones of Oromia regional state and Guanine and Argoba Woredas of Afar regional state, Ethiopia. The GROW project in Ethiopia was part of the Government of Canada s 3.5 billion CAD commitment to improving the health of mothers, new-borns and children. The project was part of CARE Canada’s Sub-Saharan African Nutrition Program, which includes the GROW project along with the Southern African Nutrition Initiative (Malawi, Mozambique, Zambia) funded through the Partnership for Strengthening Maternal, Newborn and Child Health.

Montserrado County Health Team Office Gets First E-Learning Facility

Expresses gratitude to Mercy Corps Liberia and the UAE Government With funding from the Government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Mercy Corps through its Strengthening Maternal and Infant Healthcare in Liberia (SAFE) program has commissioned and turned over a well-equipped e-learning facility to the Government of Liberia through its Montserrado County Health Office, located at the Duport Road Health Center in Paynesville outside Monrovia. The facility, formally dedicated on Monday, December 7, 2020, will provide support and professional development for workers directly employed in the county on maternal and infant healthcare issues. The ceremony was attended by employees of Mercy Corps and Montserrado County Health Team.

Mercy Corps Hands Over US$140K Medical Equipment to Grand Bassa County Health Team

Medical equipment donated by Mercy Corps to the Grand Bassa County Health Team, through the SAFE Project Mercy Corps Liberia, through its Strengthening Maternal and Infant Healthcare in Liberia (SAFE) program, has donated a huge consignment of medical equipment and a modern e-learning center to the Grand Bassa County Health Team (MOH/BACHT) for subsequent distribution to ten (10) primary healthcare centers and the Government Hospital. The items, valued at US$140,000, include ultrasound machines, oxygen concentrators, patient monitors, respiratory timers and modern examination tables, as well as other equipment. The medical equipment was made possible through funding from the government of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
