Two Philadelphia men who were driving over 100 mph were charged with causing a deadly five-car crash last year on Tacony-Palmyra Bridge, authorities announced Tuesday.
Jonathan Ramos, 28, was charged with vehicular homicide, leaving the scene of a fatal accident, causing death while driving with a suspended license and endangering an injured victim by leaving the scene without rendering aid, according to a joint statement from the Burlington County Prosecutor’s Office and the Burlington County Bridge Commission.
He surrendered with his attorney Monday at the prosecutor’s office, authorities said. He remained lodged in in the Burlington County Jail and had a detention hearing scheduled for Friday.

Williamsburg Bridge
The Williamsburg Bridge is a suspension bridge in New York City. It crosses the East River, connecting the Lower East Side of Manhattan with Interstate 278 in the Williamsburg neighborhood of Brooklyn. Completed in 1903, it was the longest suspension bridge span in the world until 1924.
“You want scary? Drive an overweight truck over the Williamsburg Bridge to Manhattan,” former big rig driver Robert Bauer said. “I did it my whole career.”
