The Birmingham-based contracting firm
Brasfield & Gorrie has begun construction on City Walk BHAM, a 31-acre project being built underneath the new Interstate 59/20 Central Business District bridge in Alabama s largest city.
The company is working alongside the
Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT) to create City Walk BHAM, designed to span 10 city blocks from 15th Street North to 25th Street North. The unique project will include recreational, art, performance, sports and green spaces, as well as a skate park, market space and a dog park.
In addition, City Walk BHAM s location puts people in proximity to the Birmingham Museum of Art, Protective Stadium, Uptown and the Birmingham Civil Rights Institute.

In this week’s travel law article we examine the case of Robin Hutchings v. InterContinental Hotels Group, PLC. & SC Hotels and Resorts (Jamaica) d/b/a Holiday Inn Resort Montego Bay, Cause No. 1:17-CV-791 RLM-DLP (S.D. Birmingham s 150th Summer Celebration will bring food trucks, music, vendors and special activities to Legion Field Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. (birminghamal.gov)
The city of Birmingham is turning 150 years old this year and will commemorate the milestone Friday, July 16 during the 150th Summer Celebration from 5-9 p.m. at Legion Field.
Logan the Entertainer will perform. There will be food trucks, vendors, music, the Birmingham Public Library (BPL), a visit from the Birmingham Zoo, a visit from Vulcan Park and Museum’s mascot and more. Attendees should bring their lawn chairs. Admission is free.
