EGP opens new sample collection centres in Abu Dhabi
ABU DHABI, 10 hours, 42 minutes ago The UAE’s Department of Health (DoH) has announced that new sample collection sites have been launched as part of the Emirati Genome Program’s (EGP) expansion in Abu Dhabi. Sample collection sites participating in the Emirati Genome Program now include the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (Adnec), Biogenix Labs in Masdar City, Al Towayya in Al Ain, Al Ain Convention Center and CurePlus Medical Centre, Al Ain. This is in addition to NMC Healthcare’s network in Abu Dhabi, which includes NMC Royal Hospital in Khalifa City, Bareen International Hospital, NMC Specialty Hospital, Al Ain, NMC Royal Medical Center- Abu Dhabi and NMC Royal Women’s Hospital.

The health authorities in the UAE are urging the public to get vaccinated against Covid-19 as cases rise worldwide.
They renewed their call this week after the country exceeded 3,000 daily cases for the first time.
More than 1.8 million vaccine doses were given to Emiratis and residents since the start of a campaign last month.
The UAE authorised use of the Sinopharm vaccine across the country. In Dubai, the Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is also available to prioritised groups.

The Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine is available at seven Dubai Health Authority facilities. These are: Al Safa Primary Healthcare Centre, Zabeel Primary Healthcare Centre, Al Mizhar Primary Healthcare Centre, Nad Al Hamr Primary Healthcare Centre, Al Barsha Primary Healthcare Centre, Uptown Mirdif Medical Fitness Centre and Hatta Hospital.
