Tarleton, Dallas College partnership rewards transfer students

STEPHENVILLE One of the fastest growing regional universities in the country and one of the largest community college systems in Texas cemented an agreement this afternoon as a national prototype to boost educational opportunities for transfer students who graduate from two-year schools.
As part of its Distinguished College Partnership, Tarleton State University will provide annual scholarships, from $500 to $2,000, to Dallas College transfer students with a minimum 3.0 GPA. Awards will be divided between fall and spring semesters based on enrollment and will be renewable up to three years with satisfactory academic progress.

STEPHENVILLE Tarleton State University and Weatherford College have agreed to participate in a national prototype to boost educational opportunities for transfer students who graduate from two-year schools.

Weatherford College and Tarleton State University signed a memorandum of understanding Wednesday further solidifying the partnership between the two higher education institutions and providing additional financial aid to Weatherford students transferring to the Stephenville university.
WC President Tod Allen Farmer and Tarleton President James Hurley met in WC s Texas Hall located in the Alkek Fine Arts Center to sign the agreement.
