WEATHERFORD â After COVID-19 derailed plans for last yearâs annual Parker County Peach Festival, organizers are excited to get back to normal this year, preparing for Saturdayâs event from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. in historic downtown Weatherford.
âThereâs always an excitement this time of year as the peaches come in season, but being forced to skip the festival last year has made everyone even more eager for its return,â Weatherford Chamber President Tammy Gazzola said.

Cecilia Abbott, wife of Gov. Greg Abbott, was the guest speaker at the Zonta Club of Parker Countyâs Status of the Women Luncheon, held Thursday at Weatherfordâs North Side Baptist Church.
âItâs been some time since weâve been able to gather like this, in person, and what an incredible feeling it is for me to look around and see all of you, and not on a video screen,â Cecilia Abbott said.
