Man with long criminal record sentenced to 15 years in prison

Jason Michael Biddle Jason Michael Biddle has had criminal cases opened against him in Baxter and Marion Counties for the past 16 years. The 34-year-old Biddle’s’ latest arrest came on April 19. During a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday, Biddle pled guilty to the drug-related charges in two of his new Baxter County cases and was sentenced to 15 years in prison According to the probable cause affidavit, officers from the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force, the U.S. Marshall’s Service, the Baxter County Sheriff’s office and the Arkansas State Police, along with the K-9 tracking team from the state prison in Calico Rock, converged on a residence along Highway 62 East in Henderson in mid-April.

Man turns back on efforts to help him with meth addiction

A 20-year-old man who has turned his back on a number of breaks given him by the justice system to help him deal with his methamphetamine addiction was in Baxter County Circuit Court Monday to appear in the third drug case filed against him since 2018. Kane Gott, Jr., who lists a Gainesville address, was recently arrested after allegedly selling two grams of methamphetamine to a person working with law enforcement for $100. Gott entered a not guilty plea to his newest charges. Gott’s problems with the law began in December 2018 when it was reported he was going into Walmart and using display phones to access Facebook.
