A mental health hospital is delivering safe care to adult and psychiatric patients but issues remain over nutrition with some relying on takeaways, an inspection has found.
The health watchdog inspected a specific service at Littlebrook Hospital in Dartford, between November and December 2020.

It found wards for adults of working age and psychiatric intensive care units delivered safe care and staff managed risks well .
Inspectors said formal complaints were managed well with patients aware of their rights and how to complain although it was not always clear how informal complaints were documented and handled.

Hospitals in Kent have reported 95 Covid-19 deaths - setting another new record high for the pandemic.
The latest figures mean that since January 1 the number of people recorded to have died in the county within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus is 738.

Today s update revealed another 42 patients had died at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust hospitals, 31 at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford, 12 at East Kent Hospitals Trust, eight at Medway Maritime Hospital and two people cared for by Kent Community Healthcare Trust.

Hospitals in Kent have reported 68 Covid-19 deaths - more than any other day since the pandemic began.
The latest figures mean that since January 1 the number of people recorded to have died in the county within 28 days of testing positive for coronavirus is 643.

Today s update revealed another 31 patients had died at Maidstone and Tunbridge Wells NHS Trust hospitals, 17 at East Kent Hospitals Trust, 12 at Medway Maritime Hospital, seven at Darent Valley Hospital in Dartford and one person cared for by Kent Community Healthcare Trust.

Hospitals in Kent have recorded 50 additional coronavirus deaths - the highest number reported in a single day.

Of the deaths reported yesterday 30 happened at Medway Maritime Hospital, which cares for patients from the five Medway Towns as well as Sittingbourne and Sheppey.
While all 50 were reported by Kent s health trusts in a 24-hour period they happened at different points over the past weeks.
The figures relate to patients who have tested positive for the virus 28 days before their death.
