I’ve never heard anything even remotely bad about Gab Manoel, and have noticed over the years how many players have gone out of their way to bring him up or thank him after recovering from injuries. This one hurts more than the lost game, to be honest.

Happy Tuesday, everyone. Even though Orlando City was pegged back late by NYCFC on Saturday, there are lots of bright spots to focus on. Nani continues to wow, Joao Moutinho looked great in his return, and the Orlando Pride start regular season play on Sunday! As usual there’s lots to discuss today, so let’s get to it.
Nani Recognized Again
Nani has again earned recognition for his performance in Orlando City’s most recent game, and rightly so. The winger was included on the bench of the most recent edition of the MLS Team of the Week, and his place there is certainly justified. He was involved in most of Orlando’s best chances against NYCFC and I don’t need to tell you how spectacular his goal was. Good Monday morning Caps fans, hope you all are settling in for a week filled with good vibes.
The Whitecaps gave us some good news over the weekend. While the viability of the “scores from set pieces and hope for the best” strategy is not great long term, the 2-0 win over CF Montreal gave the team a needed boost ahead of an intense three-match week in which there will hopefully be some goals from open play.
For now, I’m going to go on a rant that is not directly Caps-related, something I’ve tried to do less and less because, well, you’ve got to know your audience here.
