Bio William Peduto was elected to the office of Mayor of the City of Pittsburgh in the General Election on November 5, 2013, and took office as Pittsburgh’s 60th Mayor in January of 2014. Prior to taking office, he worked for 19 years on Pittsburgh City Council -seven years as a staffer then twelve years as a Member of Council. As a Councilman, Bill Peduto wrote the most comprehensive package of government reform legislation in Pittsburgh’s history. He strengthened the Ethics Code, created the city’s first Campaign Finance Limits, established Lobbyist Disclosure and Lobbyist Registration, and ended No-Bid Contracts. Road closures tough for those living in Lower Price Hill Hamilton County barricaded roads keeping some people stuck home By Joanna Bouras | February 16, 2021 at 6:18 PM EST - Updated February 16 at 6:18 PM CINCINNATI (FOX19) - Several streets in Cincinnati remain barricaded because they still haven’t been cleared of snow and ice, making them unsafe to drive. The Cincinnati Police Department put up “road closed” signs up to keep drivers off of those streets until they can be treated. “When the barricades are on the streets, a lot of times those are streets with steep hills so a lot of times we want to prevent citizens from going down,” City of Cincinnati Superintendent of Traffic and Road Conditions Jarrod Bolden said.
