The National Corvette Museum has announced a campaign to add a new two-story, 30,000-square-foot expansion to the existing museum facility.
The National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky is getting bigger with a meaningful expansion that will significantly improve its amenities and visitor’s experiences.
The expansion will total 30,000 square feet (2,787 m²) and include two stories for the National Corvette Museum’s curators. They plan to use it to add specialty exhibit spaces with rotating displays, a lifetime members lounge, an open theater space, a kids zone education center, a member’s lounge on the rooftop, and a sensory calming room for guests with unique needs.
“This expansion will give the museum the opportunity to tell more of Corvette’s stories than ever before,” said Derek E. Moore, director of collections at the museum. “When the museum opened, we were only in the fourth generation of Corvette and since then we have seen another four generations of America’s Sports Car. This is our opportunity to ensure that the Museum stays on pace with such a beloved automobile that makes history

Detailed at the 2021 Michelin NCM Bash by Bowling Green plant manager Kai Spande, the colors are Amplify Orange Tintcoat, Hypersonic Gray Metallic, and Caffeine Metallic. They replace Sebring Orange Tintcoat, Shadow Gray Metallic, and the very slow-selling finish known as Zeus Bronze.
Spande also confirmed that GM has developed 526 parts for RHD models destined for Japan, Australia, and the United Kingdom. Right-hand-drive models impact no fewer than 56 jobs and commodity differences that include the door pads, knee bolsters, glove box, main body wire harness, outside rearview mirrors, center-console trim, seatbelts, and sunshades.
Spande didn’t mention a thing about changes to the starting price, standard equipment, optional extras, or the Z06. Regarding the flat-plane crankshaft V8-engined sports car, General Motors is believed to roll out a 5.5-liter powerplant with 617 aspirated ponies and a stratospheric redline.
