A driver of a stolen dump truck died after attempting to evade deputies and crashing into a canal in Immokalee, the Collier County Sheriff s Office said in a release.
Deputies responded to a call for assistance from the Hendry County Sheriff s Office on Wednesday evening. The Hendry officials reported a stolen dump truck was on its way toward Immokalee on State Route 29.
The truck evaded deputies and crashed into a vehicle on New Market Road, causing injuries to that driver.
