A 20-YEAR-OLD woman is fighting for her life in hospital after a crash last night. West Yorkshire Police was called to reports of a collision involving two cars at 7.52pm yesterday. It was on Listing Lane, in Cleckheaton, between the road s junction with Castle Hill Road and Windmill Grove, and Gomersal and Liversedge. The crash involved a Fiat 500 and a Toyota, both of which were travelling in opposite directions. A West Yorkshire Police spokesperson said: The driver of the Fiat 500 a 20 year old woman has been taken to hospital in a critical condition. The driver of the Toyota was taken to hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
Jack Melrose s dangerous driving came to an end on Ashbourne Way, Bolton, Bradford, when he crashed into a parked car A MAN who took his mother s car, drove on the wrong side of the road during a police chase before injuring a pedestrian has avoided jail. Jack Melrose, 24, took his mother s Ford Focus without her knowledge and drove dangerously on a number of streets in Bradford. Police officers spotted Melrose driving and then a chase took place. Melrose drove on the wrong side of the road on occasions during the five-minute-long chase, including approaching a mini-roundabout at Lister Lane on the wrong side and then travelling over it.
