George the Stourbridge Junction station cat and his very own George s Rail Ale brewed by the Green Duck Brew Co A STOURBRIDGE brewery has come up with the purr-fect way to help stray cats. The Green Duck Brew Co in Rufford Road has teamed up with George the station cat and his supporters at Stourbridge Junction and Stumpy Cat Books to create a new charity brew which will raise money for the West Midlands based Stray Cat Rescue Team. The team at the Green Duck brewery took to Twitter to ask the public to choose a name for the special brew and to select the chosen cause it would raise funds for.
PLANS have been unveiled to create a sit-in tasting area for craft beer fans inside a Stourbridge off licence. The Hop Vault in Market Street has proved a popular addition to the town since it opened its doors last summer in the empty Music Matters unit. It has become a firm favourite with beer connoisseurs and those wondering what the craft ale craze is all about; and now plans have been submitted to Dudley Council to create a sit in tasting room the back - for up to around 30 people. A design and access statement submitted to planners states: The plan is to improve the current customer experience.
