The city of Pasadena has lifted its boil-water advisory.
According to an official notification on its social media platforms, the city was advised by the Texas Commission on Environmental this morning that tap water for residents in Pasadena is safe to consume.
The notification also advises that Pasadena residents still without water or affected by low water pressure may be experiencing plumbing issues and that those who live in apartments should check with managers or landlords on the status of water pipes.

The city of Pasadena says residents should boil tap water used for consumption or making ice.
The extreme temperatures caused the city of Houston’s Southeast Water Purification Plant, which provides water to Pasadena, to experience low water pressure.
Required by the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to inform customers about precautions to take when consuming tap water, the city’s notification provided a list of things residents can do to ensure their health safety.
To kill any harmful bacteria and other microbes, water from the tap source should be brought to a vigorous, rolling boil for at least two minutes before drinking, cooking and making ice, the city advises. Those without electricity and the means to boil water are being urged to refrain from using tap water.

The Feb. 12 report from the Texas Comptroller’s Office detailed the sales tax money generated during the final month of the holiday shopping season, and it was far from merry in Pasadena and Deer Park.
Pasadena saw its sales tax revenue fall some 10.4 percent compared with the amount brought in over December 2019.
Sales tax revenue reports are issued two months after the fact. The January sales tax revenue report will come out in mid-March.
