The poker app, previously known as Poker Central, has live-streamed numerous high roller events over the past few years. At the PokerGO Studio in Las Vegas, the on-demand app has hosted events such as the Super High Roller Bowl, Poker Masters, and popular cash game shows such as “Poker After Dark” and “High Stakes Poker.”
Action begins tonight at 8 p.m. EDT, with a weigh-in show preceding it by half an hour.
Remember, an annual subscription to PokerGO costs $99.99, but you can save $10 off by using promo code âPokerNewsâ at checkout.
Two Superstars at War
Of course, these two players need no introduction as two of the preeminent superstars in poker for the past 20-plus years. Both have earned huge fan followings not only for their excellent results on the felt, but for their colorful personalities both at and away from the poker table.
Here s a look at how the two compare in some select categories picked out by
High Stakes Poker. Some called it the greatest fold in the history of the show.
At their essence, many folds are exercises in great discipline and hand reading skills. This one, however, was a bit different. This one came down to one thing: table talk. And it wasn t the experienced live pro talking his way into the correct play. Instead, the tables turned as the online legend used table talk to outwit the man ostensibly far more comfortable live.
Here, we ll take a look at how that happened and what lessons can perhaps be learned.
The Hand
The whole thing is just really great theater, so rather than describe the hand in full detail, I ll just leave this video, which comes courtesy of the PokerGO YouTube channel.

Phil Hellmuth fell victim to the seven-deuce bluff, and Doug Polk made his first appearance ever on the latest episode of “High Stakes Poker” on PokerGO. Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, and Bryn Kenney also appeared in the star-studded lineup.

Ivey didn’t last long, however, and not because he busted quickly. The Poker Hall of Famer left the game early because he wasn’t feeling well. The game was still quite entertaining without the poker legend.
Polk made one of the greatest laydowns in “High Stakes Poker” history, as commentator Gabe Kaplan proclaimed. He tangled with Hellmuth in a memorable hand. The “Poker Brat,” holding Q-10, raised Polk’s $7,000 bet on the flop of J-9-8 all-in to $97,000.
