STAFF/JIM NOELKER Ohio recorded fewer than 2,000 daily cases of coronavirus for the third day in a row, according to the Ohio Department of Health. It’s the longest stretch of daily cases under 2,000 in the last three weeks; however, cases were up from Sunday. The state recorded 1,632 daily cases Monday, 1,076 on Sunday and 1,987 on Saturday. Over the last 21 days, Ohio is reporting an average of 1,985 cases a day.

UD students line up for first COVID-19 vaccine clinic Lynn Hulsey University of Dayton senior Alexandria Bennett doesn’t care much for needles but said she was happy to get her COVID-19 vaccination on Sunday during a vaccination clinic for students at UD Arena. “It kind of puts an end to the chaos in the world. It feels like the closing of the chapter of the pandemic,” said said Alexandria Bennett, 22 of Pickerington, a senior communication arts major at the University of Dayton. “It just feels like the ending and the beginning of the world getting back to how it used to be.”
