Gloucester Master Gardeners has awarded scholarships to two graduating seniors at Gloucester High School. Kyleigh Johnson, who will be attending Old Dominion University, and Nevaeh Washington, who will attend Virginia Commonwealth University will each receive $1,000.
A release said the goal of GMG is to assist with educational opportunities through programs and activities that enhance our environment and the lives of the residents in our community. The GMG Scholarship Program has been providing scholarships since 2007. The revenue from yearly fundraisers (largely plant sales) enables this scholarship program to endure.
