Hunter wounded in Mason County incident By April 20, 2021 - 12:19 pm CHARLESTON. W.Va. Investigators with the West Virginia Natural Resources Police are looking for a shooter in a Tuesday morning hunting incident in Mason County. The victim, a man in his 20’s, was wounded by a 12 gauge shotgun blast while turkey hunting. He never encountered the shooter who apparently left the area. The incident happened about 7:40 a.m. Tuesday. According to Natural Resources Police the victim walked out of the woods and called 9-1-1. He was transported by ambulance to a landing zone and flown by HealthNet to St. Mary’s Hospital in Huntington. His condition at this hour is unknown.

Cops create COVID-19 awareness - Star of Mysore

Mysore/Mysuru: Following directions from City Police Commissioner Dr. Chandragupta, Narasimharaja (NR) Sub-Division Police took out a COVID-19 awareness rally from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple at the Palace North Gate to K.R. Circle passing through A.V. Road, D. Devaraj Urs Road, Shivarampet and Sayyaji Rao Road recently. During the rally, the public were educated on the need for adhering to appropriate COVID-19 behaviour such as wearing of face mask, following of physical distancing, maintenance of personal hygiene and other precautionary and safety measures. Police distributed over 200 face masks to the public for free and also penalised more than 100 members of the public who were not wearing face mask.

Cheating: Seven persons arrested

Updated: Share Article AAA The city police nabbed an inter-State gang of cheats who would dupe people of their money by promising to procure gold at cheap prices. The police recovered ₹15 lakh from them besides gold biscuits, two cars, a two-wheeler and five phones used. The accused were named as Mustafa alias Yusuf, Abdul Hakim, Kunjiraman, Mohammad Shafi, Gurucharan, Karthik and Samiullah. While Mustafa, Kunjiraman and Shafi are from Kerala, Abdul Hakim, Gurucharan and Karthik are from Kodagu and Samiullah is from Mysuru. A special team was constituted to track down the gang after two cases of cheating were reported in the city. Based on a tip off, the police zeroed in on Mustafa which led to the arrest of six others. While Mustafa, Kunjuraman and Abdul Karim were nabbed on Monday, the remaining were taken into custody on Wednesday.

Gold Con: Inter-State cheap gold selling racket busted

Seven including one from Mysuru, three from Kerala and three from Kodagu arrested  Mysore/Mysuru: The City Police have cracked two cases of cheating where gullible people were targeted by inter-State gangs, who cheat by offering to sell gold at low prices. Seven persons have been arrested and cash amounting to Rs. 15 lakh has been seized along with a 20 gram gold biscuit, two cars, one bike and five mobile phones.  On interrogation, the accused told the Police that they were habituated to luxurious life and needed money for the same. Of the Rs. 28.50 lakh cash that was obtained from cheating, they had spent Rs. 13.5 lakh in a matter of days.
